Since 1998, davistudio Fine Porcelain has created strong, color-saturated porcelain from local clay. Davistudio is a workshop where artwork, dinnerware, paintings, sculpture and design ideas are developed and put into being. Founded and operated by Mary Anne Davis, the studio has shipped work all over the United States and sometimes further afield. Although the work does find its way to a broad audience, it is our continued dedication to a local and regional market that inspires much of our activity. Made in USA, yes, but even closer to home, handmade in upstate New York.

Fine eco-porcelain created by davistudio follows eco standards achievable by any and all small studio owners. As an eco-potter, environmental stewardship is inherent in every piece produced in my studio.

Davistudio is the outgrowth of the artistic practice of Mary Anne Davis. Davis has a BFA in ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and an MFA in sculpture from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is currently working on a Ph.D. in critical theory and aesthetics at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts located in Portland, Maine. Her dissertation research is centered on artists’ role in communities with a focus on ceramics and its economic impact.
