Pelham Art Center’s mission is to provide the public with a place, the resources and the opportunity to see, study, and experience the arts in a community setting. Currently serving more than 16,000 adults and children in Westchester County and parts of the Bronx by offering high-quality free and affordable art programs year round.

Each year Pelham Art Center presents six or seven art exhibitions that feature local, national and international artists. All styles and disciplines are represented:  painting; drawing; photography; ceramics; sculpture; prints; film, video and sound art; installation art; and contemporary craft, fiber and folk arts.

Affordable classes are offered year-round in many art forms and media: visual, performing, literary, and digital. Small class sizes, one on one attention from outstanding instructors, and convenient hours provide an enriching experience for our students. School vacation workshops include visual and performing arts and culminate in a performance.

Throughout the year, Pelham Art Center offers the general public free weekend and evening Public Programs. These include events celebrating folkloric art traditions; music performances; literary readings and lectures; opening receptions for exhibitions; gallery talks and docent tours; artist demonstrations; and all-age art making workshops related to gallery programs and national holidays.
