The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district and once served as fortification and lookout against Indian attacks. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare featuring, steaks, fresh seafood, and homemade pasta and desserts. Dining is enhanced in the winter by fireside seating and in the summer by an open air patio.

After two years of intense restoration, The Hoffman House opened for business in June of 1977. Registered on the National Landmark of Historic Places, the building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.
