Monte’s Local Kitchen and Tap Room uses the highest quality locally-sourced ingredients they can find. “We love the fact that farms are all around this area and will combine family hospitality with farm themes.”
The décor at Monte’s Local Kitchen is vintage rustic industrial, no table cloths or mats, just refurbished antique wood tables, planters with fresh herbs, cocktails in Mason jars and a local wall with jams, maple syrup, pickled vegetables and wines from the Hudson Valley for sale. Monte’s also offers a selection of gluten free and vegetarian dishes.
The owners are members of the Monte family who have owned and managed the landmark Gurney’s Inn Resort & Spa in Montauk for 56 years. The family also ran Monte’s Venetian Room, an Italian restaurant that opened in 1906 on Carroll St. in Brooklyn.
