Hudson Valley Sojourner

Stop by the Senate House State Historic Site on Saturday, October 5th, from 1-3 pm for this free drop-in activity and enjoy a sip of tea! Tea was introduced to Britain in the early 1700s and quickly gained popularity among the British and their colonies. Tea had become such a staple in colonial homes that once the Tea Act of 1773 was placed by the British Parliament, it became a contributing factor leading up to the American Revolutionary War.

Site staff will host a table outside our museum building with free tea samples for visitors to taste. This activity is free, weather-dependent, and runs while supplies last.
