May is National Lyme Disease Awareness Month, and preparing for tick season is essential. Ticks are known to carry multiple diseases that can pose serious health risks to humans.

This interactive program is designed for adults and school-age children. It will provide education on the various types of ticks found in the area, the diseases they can transmit, where they are typically found, and precautions to take to avoid direct contact with them. Participants will also learn how to dress appropriately for outdoor activities and perform a thorough “tick check.”

This is an excellent opportunity for the whole family to learn about tick safety and prevention.
