Kedem Winery, nestled in the picturesque Hudson Valley, was founded in 1948. The Herzog family, who immigrated from Austria, has been crafting wine in the region since 1848.

Eugene Herzog, who established Kedem Winery, moved to America with his family after the Holocaust. He began his journey in the industry by creating kosher wine for a small winery in New York. The Herzog family’s winemaking roots run deep, tracing back to Philip Herzog, whose exceptional wines earned him the title of baron from Emperor Franz-Josef.

As time passed, Eugene and his family acquired the winery, and today, it continues to thrive under the guidance of his descendants, who are dedicated to producing delightful kosher wines.

Through hard work and passion, the Herzog family has developed an exquisite range of wines under the Kedem label. In recent years, Kedem has further enriched its offerings with premium Kedem Estates wines, which include a fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon.
