Braxton Alexander & Co. Fine Furniture & Custom Woodwork is a boutique custom woodworking and architectural millwork studio in Kerhonkson. Founded and operated by a single artisan, Braxton Alexander, the shop specializes in high-end, hand-built furniture and bespoke cabinetry with a modern organic aesthetic. The studio serves residential and commercial clients across the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, Westchester County, Connecticut, and New York City.
Braxton’s work focuses on traditional, honest craftsmanship built to last, in direct contrast to corporate mass production. His style emphasizes thoughtful joinery, solid construction, and the organic beauty of raw timber, including live-edge slabs. He is heavily inspired by iconic mid-century modern and minimalist designers, including:
George Nakashima
Pierre Chapo
