Rondout Woodworking is renowned for its skilled artisans dedicated to delivering top-notch work. Since 1982, Rondout Woodworking, led by James Kricker, has been dedicated to providing high-quality contracting services to historic industrial and agricultural sites. They also specialize in wooden boat construction and repair. Their goal is to deliver a level of craftsmanship that complements the skills of the 17th—19th-century millwrights, boat builders, and timber framers who originally built the structures and watercraft of our pre-20th-century landscape.

Led by Jim, the team includes experienced crew members Peter Kricker and Wayne Ford. Collectively, they provide a comprehensive range of services for building and restoring mills, wooden boats, and barns. Their expertise extends to taking on and completing projects that other contractors have deemed impossible.

The workshop at Rondout Woodworking is fully equipped to handle projects of all sizes. In addition to housing state-of-the-art woodworking machinery, the workshop boasts an impressive collection of antique hand tools that authentically enable the team to replicate period finishes, including hewn timbers. The metalworking facilities are equally outstanding, featuring capabilities such as gas, stick, and MIG welding and forging, boring, milling, and turning.
