The collection at PetitFelts includes wall hangings, mobiles, needle felting kits, a fair trade selection of ornaments, and most recently, a small line of ceramics. It is an artisanal brand that carefully crafts each piece by hand using a traditional technique called needle felting. This detailed process involves tangling wool fibers with a barbed needle to shape stunning wool figurines. What makes them unique is their commitment to hand-dyed wool and their avoidance of armatures in their creations.

Jocelyn Gayle Krodman, the creative force behind PetitFelts, exemplifies how passion can be transformative. After earning a BFA in Metals and Jewelry from the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005, she moved to the scenic Hudson River Valley in 2011. It was there that she discovered her true calling in needle felting, shifting from her previous work with silver to focus entirely on this detailed craft.

Now based in Kingston, NY, Jocelyn launched PetitFelts in 2011 with one clear goal: to create exceptional, one-of-a-kind needle-felted pieces. Her work is marked by her devotion to giving life and personality to her creations, producing animals that showcase character, expression, and a hint of whimsical humor. Every piece is made with love and careful attention, and Jocelyn sincerely hopes that those who see her art can sense the heart and soul woven into each item.
