Celebrate Halloween in New Paltz with one of the community’s favorite annual traditions: the New Paltz Halloween Parade.
On Halloween night, costumed children, families and community members gather for a festive procession through the Village of New Paltz. The parade traditionally starts in the New Paltz Middle School parking lot on Main Street, travels through the village and ends on the grounds of Historic Huguenot Street.
The route follows Main Street before turning onto North Front Street near Elting Memorial Library. With assistance from the New Paltz Police Department, participants cross Route 32 and continue toward Historic Huguenot Street.
After the parade, families can enjoy Halloween festivities at Historic Huguenot Street. Past activities have included live music, seasonal photo opportunities, refreshments and other family-friendly entertainment. Halloween activities are scheduled to wrap up around 7:30 PM.
Families can make an afternoon and evening of Halloween in New Paltz by visiting Trick-or-Treat on Huguenot Street from 3:30–5:30 PM before heading to the parade.
