Travel back to the American Revolution with this free, family-friendly outdoor festival featuring costumed reenactors, living history demonstrations, and interactive activities. Meet military and civilian reenactors, including figures like General George Washington on Nelson, his enslaved servant William Lee, soldiers from both sides, and 18th-century craftspeople. Enjoy live music and participate in period activities such as 18th-century country dancing, grinding grain using a portable mill, operating a cider press, and playing traditional children’s games.
The museum offers insights into Philipse Manor Hall and the history of colonial New York. All ages can take part in a special espionage-themed activity, exploring the grounds, engaging with historical figures, visiting booths from local history groups, and decoding missions with a unique code book.
