iverside Creamery is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor, opened originally in 1950 under the ownership of Flo-Jean Restaurant. It ran as an ice cream shop until the Flood of ‘55.
We re-opened Riverside Creamery in 1999, and restored it to the ice cream shop of 1950. The soda fountain is original to the shop, as well as the full bar that seats ten. The floors, paneling, and the mural painted in 1950 are all original, and the shop is decorated with old photos of Port Jervis and the parlor. We offer an extensive ice cream menu with many different, original desserts.
Our menu also has light lunch and snack offerings, such as panini sandwiches, personal pizza, hot dogs, and french fries. Our Deep Fried Ice Cream is the best around, and has become our signature item.
Riverside Creamery Food Truck
You can have an ice cream party at your location with the Riverside Creamery Pink Party Truck. The truck will come to your location and set up a topping bar, Guests can then request the ice cream of their choice and create a custom sundae with toppings from the bar. The Pink Party Truck can also provide a selection of food for your guests.
Party bookings go quickly in the spring. All dates throughout the summer are not available due to other yearly events that the truck attends.

- Fat-Free No-Sugar-Added Strawberries and Cream Sundae – Our sugar-free, fat-free strawberry topping is the best around, topped on fat-free, no-sugar-added vanilla ice cream.
- Thin Mint Sundae – Creamy chocolate soft serve layered with dark chocolate hot fudge, crushed thin mint cookies, creme de menthe, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
