Croton Point Park Campground
Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, spans 508 acres on a peninsula along the east shore of the Hudson River. It hosts year-round events and offers amenities like camping, hiking, and swimming. Rich in both natural beauty and history, the park features historic wine cellars believed to be the oldest in New York State, as well as the Croton Point Nature Center.

Beaver Pond Campground
The Beaver Pond Campground in Stoney Point, New York, is located next to the Lake Welch Recreation Area in Harriman State Park. It offers comfortable camping, a peaceful environment, a beach, and numerous outdoor activities, making it an excellent getaway just outside New York City. The Beaver Pond Campground is located just 25 miles north of the George Washington Bridge.

The campground provides tent and trailer sites, along with spaces for larger vehicles. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include comfort stations, showers, laundry, and a dumping station. A guarded swimming beach is accessible when lifeguards are present. Nearby recreation spots include Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site, Rockland Lake State Park, Bear Mountain State Park, and Lake Tiorati Beach and Lake Welch Beach, both of which are swimming areas within Harriman State Park.


Fahnestock State Park Campground
Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park, located in Putnam Valley, New York, offers a diverse array of activities, including boating, hunting, fishing, and birdwatching. The park’s main attraction is Canopus Lake, which features a sandy beach and a nearby picnic area. Fishing is excellent year-round in both Stillwater and Canopus Lakes, as well as in the park’s four ponds, where anglers can catch bass, pickerel, perch, and brook and rainbow trout. Rowboats and kayaks are available for rent.

During the summer, visitors can enjoy the beach, boating, fishing, biking, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and camping, while winter activities include sledding, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing. Facilities within the park include a beach, boat launch, boat rentals, nature trails, a bridle path for horseback riding, concessions, and a picnic area with tables and a pavilion. The picturesque campground, set against the park’s natural rock ridges, offers secluded spots for peace and privacy. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and barbecue grill.


Sebago Cabin Camp
Nestled on the picturesque Lake Sebago within Harriman State Park, the Sebago Cabin Camp offers a charming rustic experience with a range of accommodations including cozy cabins and fully equipped cottages. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities such as renting rowboats to explore the lake, relaxing on the sandy beach, biking and hiking through scenic trails, participating in organized sports, and joining a lively Saturday bonfire. The camp also features indoor entertainment options like rainy-day movies and activities, a dedicated play area for children, a spacious recreation hall, and well-maintained tennis courts, ensuring there’s fun for everyone.
