The North Branch Inn & Restaurant is located 2 hours north of New York City in the western Catskill Mountains.
The North Branch Inn is an elegant nine-room retreat in the quaint town of North Branch. Breakfast is included with your stay and is offered in our Parlor or outside in our gardens. The setting allows for a quiet escape from the world, and an experience more similar to staying with friends rather than in a traditional hotel.
The nine rooms at The North Branch Inn are housed across two buildings on property – the Main Inn House, where our Parlor, Bar Room & Restaurant are located – and our Library House, where the Library Sitting Area – complete with wood stove and books covering the local area – are located. The spacious guest rooms offer a quiet respite from the world outside – escape into soft down duvet linens and enjoy the country air. All rooms feature en suite bathrooms with Malin & Goetz amenities, Sferra towels and robes.
Nestled next to a small creek, North Branch was officially named in 1851, and constituted not much more than 7 families, a general store, post office, and a bowling alley. Famous for its orchards and apple cider, a great variety of apples grew here and were prized all over the world. Time has stood still in this small corner of the world where this still holds true today. The décor at the Inn aims to honor this rich past while providing modern amenities such as free wireless internet, Malin and Goetz bath products, crisp cotton sheets and indulgent down duvet covers.
The Bar Room & Restaurant
The Bar Room and Restaurant at the North Branch Inn serves a concise menu that is consistently changing. We get our product mostly from people we know personally. And everything that we can’t we still source from within New York State. Our small open kitchen is in our 100+ year old bowling alley and our deliveries from the farms come through the front door.
