The Friends of Historic Kingston (FHK) aims to ensure that our vital Colonial legacy and the succeeding chapters in the city’s history endure. They work to preserve the buildings, sites and neighborhoods that tell Kingston’s story, and to promote the legacy through exhibits and programs at our two museums, walking tours of Kingston’s national historic districts, and publications. The museums are adjacent and can be visited together.

A Passion for Kingston’s Past Founded in 1965, Friends of Historic Kingston is a volunteer organization whose members value the city’s past and want to assume an active role in safeguarding it. We view the city’s historic fabric as an asset that enhances the quality of life for residents and offers an uncommonly rich experience for visitors.
