Hudson Lab School offers a progressive K-8 program that combines academics with the joys of childhood and a spirit of innovation to prepare children to succeed as adults. The goal for students goes far beyond college admissions. By empowering children to trust themselves to discover what they want and teaching them how to make it happen, they will have what it takes to lead a fulfilling, joyful life. From co-designing their class projects, our students will graduate ready to design their own futures. They will develop the creativity and courage to take on daunting risks, grow stronger from life’s inevitable failures, and pursue marvelous adventures to shape their world.
The school offers lower and middle school education, and Hudson Lab School teaches students how to learn how to learn. It allows students to learn at their own pace through small, dynamic groups and a mix of direct instruction, independent practice, instructional games, and real-world, hands-on activities. As students successfully master new knowledge, skills, and habits, learning becomes enjoyable, and students gain confidence and trust in their own learning process.
