Kicking off Clermont’s celebration of the Semiquincentennial with a series of presentations about Clermont at the brink of revolution. Join Interpretive Programs Assistant Emily Robinson for a talk about the Livingstons of Clermont in 1776 and the events that pushed them toward independence. Enjoy some liberty-tea punch and gingerbread cookies as we explore the international incidents and family circumstances that ultimately brought the British to our doorstep. This presentation complements our next installment in the America 250 series, “The People of Clermont in 1776,” on Sunday, March 15th, presented by our Site Manager, Geoff Benton.
