Dutchess County is continuing its multi-year celebration of America’s semiquincentennial with RevCon 2025 — the second annual Revolutionary War Reenactment and History Fair. This event, hosted by Destination Dutchess and the Dutchess County Department of History, will take place on June 14 at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, New York.
Attendees can expect reenactors to showcase demonstrations of weapons, tactics, and exhibitions of military camp life and uniforms, as well as Q&A sessions about life during the Revolutionary War. Historians will be available at the history fair to discuss the Hudson Valley’s involvement in the war.
Additionally, visitors can take photos with Destination Dutchess’ “Commander in Cheers” and enjoy tales of Dutchess County’s revolutionary heroics narrated by an augmented reality rendition of George Washington, affectionately known as “Tiny George.”
