Beacon farmers marketThe Troy Waterfront Farmers Market occurs every Saturday, where over 80 food growers, bakers, chefs, and artisans gather to offer the freshest and highest quality produce in the Capital Region. Visitors can buy directly from the producer—the person who grew or made it—and receive tips on how to best cook, use, and enjoy the products. This also ensures that the money spent goes directly to the local economy and supports a healthy regional food system. Aside from being a farmers’ market, the event has also served as a community gathering spot for the past 15 years. Visitors can enjoy live music, great food, family activities, and learning opportunities. From May to October, the market is held in Monument Square. Visitors from all over the Capital Region come to shop with local vendors and enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of the market.
