Opened in January 2022 by owner Daniel Darves-Bornoz and his son, Executive Chef Peter Darves-Bornoz, the place is a tribute to Daniel’s mom, Josephine, and focuses on seasonal, local, organic ingredients.
The menu shifts with the seasons, highlighting local favorites from vendors like Maple Hill Creamery and R & G Cheese Makers. Popular dishes include Sherry-Braised Short Ribs, Mushroom Pappardelle, Street Corn Pizza, and the Kilcoyne Farms Beef Burger.
Inside, you’ll find a fresh, contemporary vibe with custom lighting and a cozy bar area, making it feel both stylish and welcoming. The decor has a cute “farm chic” feel, blending upscale with casual. There’s an open kitchen, a bar featuring organic and natural wines plus house infusions, and outdoor seating when the weather’s nice.
The bar is a lively spot that easily shifts into the main dining area. It’s got eye-catching black inverted lampshades with gold interiors for a stylish touch. Along with regular bar seats, there are curved booths and sleek leather banquettes that guests often find very comfortable. The overall vibe is modern and polished, but still fun and lively, especially during happy hour and dinner.
