Unbridled is dedicated to protecting horses from exploitation, suffering, and slaughter. Through advocacy, art, education, direct care, and public policy they aim to embolden a new ethical perspective towards horses to ensure that they are appreciated, protected, and respected throughout their natural life span. Unbridled is the only Thoroughbred Foundation in the USA to be Accredited by the American Sanctuary Association (ASA), Equus Foundation, Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS), and GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency.
Thoroughbreds adopted through Unbridled are thriving as cherished companions, competitors, trail horses, and teachers. Their Mares in Sanctuary are living textbooks to challenge students to think creatively and critically to develop better ways to protect all horses throughout their natural lifespan.
Unbridled Thoroughbred Foundation is volunteer-run and donor-supported. They rely on donations, public support, grants, fundraising events, and merchandise sales to support their lifesaving mission.
