Revolutionary Westchester 250 seeks to raise awareness and generate excitement about the events, locations, ideas, and individuals—both well-known and lesser-known—associated with the Revolutionary War period in Westchester County.
It partners with a variety of local and regional organizations—including heritage and history groups, arts and cultural institutions, educational entities, libraries, veterans’ organizations, municipal governments, private companies, and others—to promote heritage tourism and improve the leisure and well-being of Westchester residents.
Revolutionary Westchester 250 is a charitable nonprofit organization established to support the objectives of the Semiquincentennial Commission by honoring and commemorating Westchester County’s significant contribution to the American Revolution, the founding of the United States, and related historical events.
Since summer 2018, the organization has hosted many popular and well-attended programs and has taken part in various events and meetings. It is fueled by the enthusiasm of families and history enthusiasts who have joined its efforts. The organization remains committed to grassroots, local involvement and strives to represent the diverse voices across Westchester County.
