The Grand American Barbecue World Championship is a three-day outdoor event that features professional barbecue contests, live music, and a variety of food vendors. It is the only world barbecue competition on the East Coast. Participants from all over the country compete in a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned competition. Visitors can enjoy different types of barbecue from commercial “ribbers” and food stalls. The festival also offers live performances on the main stage, cooking demos, and a “Meat & Greet” session with professional BBQ teams. A kids’ zone with activities is available throughout the event, and there will be a beer garden along with other beverage vendors on-site.
