Steepletop, Home of Poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, Opens to Visitors on October 12 and 13

The Millay Society at Steepletop is delighted to announce that the grounds at the home of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay will be open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13. Guests will be welcome to wander through Millay’s gardens and fields, to explore the Poetry Trail that leads to the Millay family gravesites, and to bring a picnic to enjoy on the grounds.

House Tours of Millay’s home are available for a limited number of ticket holders for $20 per person in advance; Grounds and Picnic Passes are available for $10 per person in advance or on-site.

The Steepletop Gift Shop will be open. The Jackson Gallery in the Tamarack Visitors Center will feature the exhibition “Edna St. Vincent Millay: Through Their Eyes,” a collection of artifacts depicting Millay through others’ eyes throughout her life and career. Tickets are available in advance at www.millay.org/events and on-site during the Open Days. Steepletop is located at 440 East Hill Road, Austerlitz, New York 12017.
