The Bannerman Castle Trust, Inc., is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Bannerman Castle on Pollepel Island. As an official “Friends” organization recognized by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (NYSOPRHP), the Trust operates as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to uphold Bannerman Castle’s cultural, historical, and recreational significance.
In collaboration with NYSOPRHP, the Trust offers public tours of the island. These tours provide an opportunity for visitors to engage in guided walking tours and immersive experiences, both accessible by passenger tour boat or as part of a guided kayak excursion. Through these tours, the Trust aims to promote heritage tourism in the Hudson Valley, making it a valuable destination for education, culture, and history enthusiasts.
