Torne Valley Vineyards was founded in 2009 and has the proud distinction of becoming the first fully functioning winery in Rockland County New York.

Seated on an historic 19th century country estate, the property and it’s Victorian mansion have been lovingly restored to provide visitors with a profoundly “retro” experience. From the iconic stone gate, which beckons you to explore acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, to the incredible Ramapo River views, to the warmth and elegance of our period, interior event space, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time, just 40 miles from New York City.

While we are a working vineyard, we also offer complete event planning and catering on any scale. And though our mansion is period 1800s, from the slate roof to the grand ball room, we offer a full compliment of amenities you’d expect in any contemporary facility, including air conditioning, valet service, bridal suite, and so much more.

A few wine selections from Torne Valley Vineyards

  • Sweet Summertime (Semi-Sweet) – Made from a well balanced blend of Cayuga, Vidal Blanc and Vignoles grape varietals, this unassuming vineyard favorite has sweet notes of succulent peaches and citrus.
  • Chardonnay (Dry) – Maintaining its pedigree as America’s favorite wine and the world’s most widely planted grape, ours offers a classic golden color, with vibrant overtones of melon, grass and vanilla.
  • Kimmie’s Crush (Semi-Dry) – Classic Bordeaux style with a touch of Catawba, this unique marriage of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon boasts such rich, fruit characteristics as plum, cherry, black and blueberries. Warm spice, vanilla, tobacco and leather aromas conspire to offer the nose and palate a beautifully integrated, medium-bodied wine.
  • Cabernet Franc (Dry) – Inviting and aromatic, its gorgeous rich color is equaled only by the subtle harmony of raspberry, tobacco and violet notes.
