Stamford Gables Bed & Breakfast is located in the historic and scenic Northwest Catskill Mountains, the Gables is an informal B&B, offering high-quality accommodations in a relaxed atmosphere.
The breakfasts are served country style, with your choice of delicious dishes such as stuffed French toast, pancakes and eggs, homemade breads and muffins — and lots of fruits in season.
The rooms are clean, bright and well-appointed, with comfortable beds, crisp linens and spacious bathrooms.
The Gables was built in 1855. It has served as a residence, furniture store, apartment building, oil service, and ski shop. Eventually it was abandoned and left to decay. In 2003, a two-year effort to restore both the interior and exterior was undertaken to turn it into the charming bed & breakfast it is today.
The Stamford Gables is central four major, all-season resorts: Hunter Mountain Resort, Windham Mountain, Belleayre Mountain Ski Center, and Plattekill Mountain. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding and cross country, as well as activities like mountain biking, adventure parks and golfing.
