Hudson Valley Cabin is a romantic secluded 480 sq. ft. cabin located on a privately owned 3.5 acre lake – part of a lovely 85 acre parcel of land. Conveniently located near many historic Dutchess County towns and close to Mid-Hudson Valley attractions and events.
The beautiful 85 acres have been family owned for many years and have been shared with guests since 2002.
Hudson Valley Cabin is a romantic hideaway nestled in the woods”. Your own personal log cabin overlooking a private lake on our beautiful 85 acres of country land. Conveniently located near many historic Dutchess County towns – Rhinebeck, Millbrook, Hyde Park, Red Hook and Pine Plains, NY.
The closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away ensuring our guests total privacy in this beautiful setting. Enjoy your own private lake in all seasons – fishing, swimming, rowing, playing in the water with our inflatable boats, lounging in our hammocks and hanging chairs, or listening to the ice crack! You will share your lake with only fish, frogs, ducks, geese, herons, deer, and turkeys. In season there is a fresh herb garden available for your use.
The lake is full of large mouth bass and many of our guests have spent long hours on the dock or in the rowboat with their fishing poles.
Exploring our the woods is another popular activity at the cabin. Favorite spots include our 40′ gorge, a section of moss covered boulders which we call “green rocks”, and our many stone walls. We provide a trail map and some trail signs to help with explorations. There are benches scattered along the trails for your rest stops.
Outdoor cooking and dining can be enjoyed at all times of the day and night with our outdoor lighting. Picnic tables at the side of the cabin and in the dock area give you a dining choice. Or – you may prefer dining indoors at the table in front of the picture window.
