KAS Krupnikas is created in the Hudson Valley town of Mahopac in Putnam county New York. It is bottled and labeled by hand. Its a true craft spirit: a family gift offered to the local community and beyond. The first bottles were purchased and sent with pride by hand to bars and select retailers in the summer of 2014.

Buckwheat
KAS Buckwheat is heavier in consistency and flavor. It tastes a bit like molasses and feels aged almost bourbon like, with earthy tones and a port like finish. A fantastic sipper and once chilled it morphs to a honey/vanilla cream like drink. It works great with strong distinct flavors: a shot in a stout beer, with Bourbon in a Rusty nail or mixed with grapefruit for a refreshing not sweet cocktail.

Black Locust
The Black Locust KAS feels somewhat lighter, the texture is more buttery than gooey. It is delicately sweet and floral like a late spring day. The spices are not that pronounced and it has a definite citrus finish. It is extremely light colored, lemon white or yellow-green, and is relatively free of other floral scents. It can be very transparent, like liquid glass. The aroma is floral, fruity, delicate, and very persistent. The flavor is very sweet, slightly acidic with hints of bark and no aftertaste. It works well by itself or mixes well in hot or cold drinks. Mix it with some ginger beer or lemonade and you will be drinking it by the gallons.
