Each piece of Sara Golden Jewelry is made by hand in her Catskill Mountain studio, using real semi-precious stones, high quality metals, and extra thick plating.

She uses genuine stones because they come in a beautiful array of colors and patterns, made perfectly random by nature. Each stone is hand-cut by skilled artisans in Jaipur, India, a centuries-old center of jewelry making, and source of some of the world’s finest gemstones. All of the jewelry is made with high quality metals — brass, sterling silver, and gold — because of their durability and beauty. Sara Golden Jewelry is plated in extra-thick layers of gold or rhodium with an antique finish that gives the pieces a timeless look.

Sara Golden trained in traditional jewelry-making techniques in Florence, Italy. During her apprenticeship, she became inspired by the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into each piece (and didn’t mind all the pasta, either). She began her career in New York City, designing for brands like J. Crew, Kate Spade, and Club Monaco. These jobs were instrumental in refining her aesthetic and design skills, but she missed the care and attention of bench work. She started Sara Golden to focus on making beautiful, well-made jewelry one piece at a time, rather than compromising design and quality to meet deadlines and sales goals. Sara is inspired by the imperfect beauty of nature, starry night skies, and anything that sparkles.
