Happy Life Animal Rescue (HLAR) is a nonprofit, foster-based, Hudson Valley animal rescue organization. HLAR is based in Patterson, New York, and serves the entire Hudson Valley and beyond. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless animals who are victims of abuse & neglect, shelter overpopulation, and owner surrender. We are also committed to promoting local spay/neuter programs.

With the help of an amazing group of foster caregivers, Happy Life Animal Rescue gives animals who are not yet ready for adoption a chance to live and be loved in family homes. This exciting partnership with Hudson Valley based families allows HLAR to take in more cats and dogs. Fostering is an incredibly rewarding experience you’ll never forget, and improves the lives of rescue animals in a very direct way.
