The Roundhouse is a unique, historic property overlooking a beautiful waterfall, rushing creek and bustling street corner in charming Beacon, NY.

Our singular name represents several masterfully restored buildings that offer a full-service experience, including a boutique hotel, award-winning American restaurant and popular event space for up to 200 guests.

Beautifully appointed guest rooms are located in two distinct buildings on the property. From spectacular suites in the Roundhouse building, to light and airy guest rooms in the Mill building.

Our stunning, popular event space is truly where old meets new. Our industrial past – original wood beams, exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceiling windows – is met with sleek, modern steel railings, sweeping high curtains and contemporary lighting. The space can host up to 200 guests for weddings, cocktail parties, galas and corporate events. Indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour options allow for flexible and creative use of the space.

The historic structures on the property were built in the early 1800s and home to many businesses across the last 200 hundred years. The property was originally part of the Matteawan Manufacturing Company, a textile manufacturer and one of the first factories in Beacon. The property later housed the H.N. Swift Machine Shop, which reportedly manufactured the first lawnmowers in the US. One of last businesses to call the property home was the Braendly Dye Works, which operated as late as the 1970’s.
