Old Ford Farm Products:

Raw Milk
The farm has a small herd of Jersey and Jersey-Devon cows that graze on grass and are supplemented with a small amount of grain. The grain is certified organic (which is always non-GMO). They are licensed by New York State to sell raw milk and welcome visitors to meet the cows and observe a milking anytime. All milk is sold in half-gallon Ball jars from the farm store.

Poultry & Eggs
Broiler chickens and turkeys are raised in movable pasture pens. These are bottomless enclosures that protect the birds from direct sun, rain, and predators, while allowing them to eat bugs and grasses. The pens are moved to fresh pasture daily to give the birds continuous foraging opportunities and to ensure even manure distribution, which helps revitalize the grass for the cows. They raise Cornish Cross chickens and Broad-Breasted White turkeys. They are fed certified organic grains (organic means non-GMO). Available at the farm store.

Beef
Old Ford Farm beef comes from animals raised in their dairy herd, including retired cows, retired bulls, and steers. All cattle are grass-fed and receive a small amount of grain when they are calves. Lactating cows also get a small amount of grain. All the grain is certified organic, which means it is always non-GMO. The beef is sold by cuts in the farm store.

Pork
Pigs are raised on pasture, giving them the opportunity to eat bugs and grasses while their manure enriches the soil, which then nurtures the grass. They are rotated to fresh pasture weekly to ensure they always have plenty of forage and a clean living space. The pigs are fed certified organic grain (which is always non-GMO). They are sold by cuts at the farm store.

The Old Ford Farm Store is self-serve and open 24/7 every day of the year. Most products can be purchased here. All prices can be found on the signs posted on the fridges and freezers. The farm store also sells a number of other products from area farms.
