Maple Hill Trees is a family owned and operated Christmas Tree grower supporting youth in Schodack. We host the Castleton-Schodack Boy Scout and Cub Scout Christmas Tree Sales, where they earn money to go to camp and for general Troop and Pack funds. We grow Fraiser Fir, Canaan Fir, Scotch Pine and others.

As a means to help the local Boy Scout Troop who brought in trees to sell, making summer camp more affordable for the troop, we planted our first trees in 1983.Troop 53 and Pack 253 still sell Christmas Trees and Wreaths starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving until they sell out of trees.

In addition to the trees that the Boy Scouts bring in we offer fresh pre-cut farm trees and the opportunity to choose and cut the tree of your choice. The Boy Scouts make the same profit on farm grown trees as those they bring in to sell.

You are invited to attend our pre-tag events in the fall (when the weather is nicer), so you can come out and find the tree of your choice in the field and tag it. No need to pay for it until you return to come have it cut down to take home. During this event you are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy some time outdoors. There will also be crafts for those interested and some handcrafted items for sale.

Maple Hill Tree Farm has been in the Van Nederynen Family since 1921. Maple Hill Trees Farm has 2 generations living on it, and another generation helping care for the trees. Today we are focused on raising Christmas Trees and supporting youth in the Schodack area. During the Christmas Tree sales season, we offer rides to the fields pulled by our antique tractor, and we will bring you and your tree back to the parking area.
