Chabad On Fulton serves as a conduit to engage Jewish students, strengthen identity and ensure continuity. It is a safe, supportive community where students can feel a sense of belonging, experience Jewish life, explore Jewish wisdom and become empowered to live active Jewish lives.

Chabad on Fulton is a Jewish space that is open and available to all Jewish students and faculty at Vassar College. We have established the Chabad House as a place where Jews of all backgrounds and degrees of observance can enjoy exploring their Jewish heritage in a warm, welcoming and accepting environment.

Efforts to engage the unaffiliated, and increase the opportunities for the affiliated, have been met with incredible success. For many, Chabad on Fulton – Student Center has been their first positive Jewish experience. Leaders on campuses have expressed wonder at Chabad on Campus’s ability to seamlessly bring together a diverse community of undergraduates, faculty, and Jews of all backgrounds on an ongoing basis. Hundreds of students have had their connection to Judaism deepened because of the work of Chabad.

Chabad is here for YOU – the non-religious, the reform, the conservative, or the cultural Jew! Try new experiences with other non-orthodox students and Jews from all backgrounds in a warm, open and non-judgmental environment.

Programs

Among our programs, we host weekly Shabbat dinners that provide Jewish students an intimate setting to eat, meet new friends from every niche of the campus community, and celebrate Shabbat in a spiritual and intellectually stimulating manner. Creative Holiday programs raise Jewish consciousness and pride throughout the community. Lectures and classes on Jewish law, philosophy, & ethics teach the relevance and the depth of our beautiful heritage to our community. We continue to meet with students individually around the clock.
