Thyme in the Country Rooms:

Guestroom accommodations are spacious, well-lit and furnished with simple but comfortable antiques and upholstered chairs. Views of our gardens and meadows can be seen through the windows. Each room has a writing desk or table, Wi-Fi and convenient outlets for computer use. The beds have organic mattresses, down quilts and a combination of fiberfill, latex rubber, or down pillows. The curtains, rugs, and bedding are all made of natural fibers. During cleaning and laundering, no harsh chemical cleaners or perfumes are used; linens and towels are air-dried.

SUMAC ROOM
Located at the top of the stairs, The Sumac Room is a comfortable retreat, roomy enough with its leather easy chair and ottoman to enjoy a quiet glass of wine to help you unwind after your trip. The decor is simple, comfortable and not frilly.

ROSE ROOM
Located in the northeast corner of our house, the Rose Room features three large east-facing windows that look out over our pool, flower gardens and meadow. Curl up and enjoy tea in the corner recliner. The private bath has a combination shower/tub and organic shampoos, bath supplies and lotions. The cozy fireplace heater adds warmth in winter and a soft glow in summer. Secretary desk, leather-topped table, original artwork and soft colors of beige and pale rose create the feel of a 19th century farmhouse bedroom. This room also has a large closet for storage and easy access to electric outlets and good lighting.

LAVENDER ROOM
Situated on the west side of the Thyme in the Country house, the Lavender Room has a very peaceful atmosphere. The queen-size bed has an organic mattress. Two comfortable chairs can be pulled up to a drop-leaf table to share a private tea. The table also makes a convenient computer work space. The Lavender Bathroom, constructed of recycled and eco-friendly materials has a shower, dual-flush toilet and vanity area.

CHAMOMILE ROOM
The Chamomile Room is bright and sunny. It adjoins the Lavender Room through its bathroom becoming the Lavender Suite, and it works well for girlfriend getaways and families with children 5 years and up. For those looking for an inexpensive room during the weekdays, we offer it with the small adjacent bathroom IF the Lavender Room is not already rented. It is small bedroom contains 2 beds, one is a twin and the other a 3/4 size bed. Both have organic mattresses and natural fiber bedding. This room works best in conjunction with the Lavender Room, since it is a small room with minimal furnishings.
