In 1917, the property that is now Schwartz’s Inn was purchased by Ida and Harry Schwartz. This property, bought by proprietor Joe Cohen’s grandparents, Ida and Harry Schwartz in 1917, has remained in the family. The downstairs of this property was used by his grandparents as a tailor shop, restaurant, and pawn shop. Dr. Cohen’s father opened Frank’s Sport & Ski Shop following his army discharge from World War II.

The ground floor is now the optometric practice of the Schwartz’s grandson, Dr. Joseph Cohen. The upstairs space where the family once resided was converted into this Kingston bed and breakfast. Dr. Cohen’s wife, Barbara now maintains this property.
