Farmers MarketThe Hudson Valley Open Market is a lively, seasonal farmers’ and makers’ market in New Paltz, New York. Established in July 2024, it serves as a vibrant community hub connecting local farms, artisans, and residents. The market adopts an exciting “hybrid” format, combining elements of a farmers market, craft fair, and food festival. Each week, more than 30 vendors – including local farmers offering fresh produce, berries, honey, and wine, as well as bakers and artisans creating handmade goods in skincare, leather, jewelry, and pottery – showcase their products.

The organizers prioritize sustainability, sourcing ingredients within 200 miles and producing goods within 100 miles of the market. Visitors can enjoy live music, face painting, and special community events throughout the season. Ample parking is available in the middle school lot, and the market is conveniently within walking distance of downtown New Paltz.
